Knitting in the Wild

Shhh….I see one! Right over there- look closely! It’s a wild fiber artist, doing their voodoo fiber magic with sticks and string and such. If you watch closely, you’ll witness an incredible creation born from their fingertips! ….Or you’ll witness them cuss loudly and tear out rows of progress because of a dropped stitch.

Where does your fiber art activity take you? Sure, it’s cool to cozy up in your hygge home nook to knit or crochet. But what about the little adventures you find yourself on, where you think “I just need to take a little something to knit along with me…just in case.” (Cue the stuffing of project tote bags with an ungodly amount of yarn and every needle and cable size- what if you get peckish and need to start a new afghan pattern mid- trip?)

There’s park bench knitting, backyard porch spinning, botanical garden weaving, mountain climbing crochet, and our personal favorite, subway train knitting. There’s just something about crafting while in a new environment that is an inspiration all of it’s own.

Send in or tag us with #knittinginthewild your favorite “Knitting on the go” pics, (or crocheting, or weaving, or spinning, or…you get the idea) to be featured on our Insta feed, and to get an exclusive She Knits Wild coupon sent your way!
